Janaka Chaminda Ratnayake has left as director cum cameraman of ‘Athma’ tele drama telecast over Swarnavahini at 7.30 pm on every weekday, according to reports
The new director is said to be Gayan Wickramatilake.
Ratnayake has left as he could not tolerate continuous fights on the set between Gayan Wickramatilake and Chaturika Peiris, who are the two main charactors in the tele drama, reports say.
The assistant director too, had left some time ago, as he could not stand these fights, which delay shootings by several hours every time.
The cast also include Cletus Mendis, Lionel Wickrama, Maureen Charuni, Manel Wanaguru, Ramani Siriwardena, Nirosha Thalagala, Anura Bandara Rajaguru, Kamal Deshapriya, Menaka Madhuwanthi, Vishwa Lanka, Rupa Gomes and Chamila Attanayke.
The script is by Chinthaka Peiris, music direction by Dinesh Subasinghe, Chaminda Gunatilake as make up artiste, Asun Malwatte as editor and Manjula Gunawardena as production manager.
